Terms of use
Last updated 10 September 2026
These are the terms for using LifeUpSkill. They are the agreement between you and LifeUpSkill, and using the site means you accept them. They are written plainly on purpose; nothing here is hidden in the length.
Using the site
You may read the courses, the ideas and the calculators freely, for your own learning, without an account. Sign in and the app also keeps your place, your highlights and your notes.
You agree not to:
- Copy, republish or resell the courses, lessons or ideas, or pass them off as your own. They belong to us or to the people who wrote them.
- Scrape or bulk-download the content, or use it to train a model, without our written permission.
- Try to reach parts of the service that are not meant for you — other people’s accounts or notes, draft material, or the admin application.
- Interfere with the service or its security, or use it to break the law.
Automated crawling for ordinary search indexing is welcome, within what our robots.txt allows.
Your account
Keep your sign-in details to yourself and let us know if you think someone else has got into your account. What happens under your account is your responsibility. One account is for one person; do not share it.
If your organisation gave you access to a course, they can see how you are getting on with it, and they may withdraw that access. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we will tell you why unless the law stops us. You can close your account whenever you like — see the privacy page for what that removes.
What you write
Your notes, highlights, saved ideas and activity work are yours. We store them so we can show them back to you, and we do not use them for anything else. You are responsible for what you put in them, so keep other people’s confidential information out of them.
What the content is, and is not
The courses and the calculators are for education and general guidance. The planning tools work out arithmetic from the figures you type in: their answers are illustrations, not advice, and they depend entirely on assumptions you chose. The estate-tax calculator is written to Philippine law and will be wrong elsewhere, and tax law changes.
Nothing here is financial, tax, legal or professional advice, and none of it creates an adviser relationship. Before acting on anything you read here, particularly with money, take advice from a qualified professional who knows your circumstances.
A certificate the app issues records that you completed a course here. It is not a professional qualification, an accreditation or a licence.
Availability
We aim to keep the service up and correct, and we do not promise that it will never be unavailable, never lose a beat, or be free of mistakes. Content may change, and a course may be added, edited or withdrawn. Downloaded courses are a convenience and can be cleared by your browser at any time, so do not treat the device copy as your only copy of anything.
Where the responsibility ends
The service is provided as it is. So far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits or lost data, or for decisions you take based on the content or the calculators. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Changes
We may change these terms. The date at the top says when they last changed, and a material change will be flagged in the app rather than left for you to find. Carrying on using the service after a change means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Philippines, and the courts of the Philippines have jurisdiction over any dispute. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
